About Us

Messiah Lutheran Church is member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod and is in Iowa District West.

We have worship every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with Holy Communion on the second and fourth Sundays as well as on festival days.

After worship we have a short fellowship time followed by a Bible study at 10:45.

Loving Arms Child Care

A big part of Messiah Lutheran Church is our Loving Arms Children's Center.

Loving Arms is our Christian child care facility which provides full or part time child care to many families in Johnston and the greater Des Moines area. Please visit their website to learn more. www.lovingarms.us.

Our Logo

Messiah's logo is a modified cross crosslet. The arms of the cross become the arms of believers reaching out to the four corners of the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The arrows point the way we must go to share this News.
